Molting
Are my chickens molting when it is just on their backs that they are losing feathers?? or is it something else?

Well it can depend. Usually chickens molt in the fall. Do you have roosters. If you do they may be plucking the feathers out when there trying to breed. Also check for mites as that can also cause feather loss. It can even be other hens plucking feathers and eating them. Hope that helps!
